Greenfield Online Review – By Aaron R.

Greenfield Online is another survey website that I am not a huge fan of. They really aren’t a bad site, but they could really do a few things better.

The big draw for Greenfield is that they offer a lot of surveys. They seem to have surveys that cover almost every demographic, so you shouldn’t have a problem finding surveys even if you aren’t in an in-demand group. The bad news is that most of their surveys seem to rely on contests as their draw, which means that you won’t be guaranteed any money. The one way I saw to counter this was to act through other websites. It seemed that I could effectively double dip sometimes. Several surveys through Greenfield Online seem to be outsourced to other small companies that will then pay $1 for you to complete the survey. The cookie will still usually record it on Greenfield though, letting you get paid for entering the contest.

The only real negatives were that they are slow sometimes. I’ve had a few surveys that just never closed. This is only a problem because you aren’t paid until it closes. I could have argued with the support department, but it was a $2 survey and it didn’t seem worth the email. It also seems to take awhile to get paid. Their payment cycles can sometimes wind up with you waiting months for a pretty small check. They do pay though it just takes awhile sometimes.

Greenfield Online is definitely a leader in the survey field. If you like contest surveys then you are in luck. If you don’t like them, then you should still think about joining. You don’t have to fill out the contest ones and there are some nice paying ones in the mix. They’re still a worthy addition to your list.
